JLA movie casting : Andy Sidaris special !

Since the part of my JLA movie casting with actresses from the Andy Sidaris movies has become longer and longer I had decided to give them their own post but after a while I realized I couldn´t fit it into one post.

So I did one part with general stuff about Andy Sidaris, his movies and some of the hot women in his movies - which I already posted - and this one with the actual stuff about my Justice League movie casting. By the way, this was originally in the first part of my SUBZERO special edition.

So I´m skipping the second part of my JLA Hollywood edition, which still isn´t finished and in all likelihood is going to be two more parts anyway.

Roberta Vasquez as Big Barda

One of my favorite playmates is Roberta Vasquez and the exotic beauty brings her incredible 40DDs to the table. Miss November 1984 has been another candidate for Power Girl but she also makes a great Big Barda.

Roberta has already shown that she´s one hell of an actress and that she can scorch up the screen in a plethora of movies, most of them by the Russ Meyer of action movies : Andy Sidaris. Andy is probably THE BEST director of action entertainment movies for adults. And his cast reads like a WHOS´S WHO of playmate sexbombs : Roberta Vasquez, Ava Cadell, Cynthia Brimhall, Dona Speir, Pandora Peaks, Julie Strain, Suzi Simpson, Samantha Phillips and Julie K. Smith to mention just a few.

Back to Roberta Vasquez, she was born in Los Angeles, on February 13, 1963. Playmate of the Month for November, 1984, her measurements then were 40DD - 25 - 36. She stood at 5'8", weighing 125lb, with some of the most perfect natural breasts to ever appear in Hef's PLAYBOY magazine.

A former California Highway Patrolwoman, she ended up playing one in Clint Eastwood's 1990 film, THE ROOKIE. She has also featured in several Playmate compilation videos and publications, including WET AND WILD WOMEN ( July 1987 ) and 21 PLAYMATES ( April 1997 ).

Roberta acted in several movies made by Andy Sidaris, in the late '80s and early '90s where she became the new co star opposite Dona Speir.

Dona had been part of the series as federal agent Donna Hamilton since HARD TICKET TO HAWAII, Roberta Vasquez played Panthera in PICASSO TRIGGER and started as Dona´s colleague Nicole in GUNS. Now GUNS brought the Lethal Ladies movie series to a new level because with the unbeatable combo of the busty blonde Dona and the exotic and even bustier raven haired Roberta the male viewers were glued to the tv sets.

Add to that redheads like Cynthia Brimhall, brunettes like Ava Cadell or asians like Carolyn Liu - with dozens of other blond and black haired playmates throw into the mix - and you had all the bases covered.

With her athletic frame and martial arts experience the gorgeous Vasquez is a natural action heroine and with her background in the force she is much more convincing as a federal agent than Dona´s previous on screen partner Hope Marie Carlton. All and all, if anyone had to replace Carlton, Vasquez was certainly great choice, and her chemistry with both Speir and Bruce Penhall would only grow stronger with each subsequent picture.

After major turnover with the male members in the past Andy Sidaris movies, it´s great to see Penhall’s Bruce Christian, introduced in the previous picture, return to the fold once again. He receives a well deserved increase in screentime and develops a believable chemistry with Vasquez. I mean, that was one of the non profit fringe benefits of an Andy Sidaris movie and who wouldn´t like to have her rub all over you ?

So with her background as action heroine and cop and with her athletic yet sexy build I think Roberta Vasquez is an ideal choice for Big Barda.

Cynthia Brimhall as Maxima

Another actress I picked from the Andy Sidaris movies, the real life Jessica Rabbit with the impressive rack would be perfect as Maxima.

Not only because she´s a redhead but with her tantalizing measurements she would bring the males of any extraterrestial species to donate DNA .

I first noticed Cynthia Brimhall in the Andy Sidaris classic GUNS which, once again had a very stupid name in german : SEX WOMEN SCORE A STRIKE ( it´s difficult to translate " abräumen " since it´s slang ).

Cynthia had played Edy Stark in previous Andy Sidaris movies ( probably neither related to Tony Stark nor Arno Stark ) but she didn´t leave a lasting impression on me before GUNS where she looks sexier than ever.

Now undercover as a lounge singer in Las Vegas this movie gives Ms. Brimhall the perfect opportunity to overload your pleasure centers with ultra sexy performances of the title song and " Sooner or Later ".  While her onscreen lip - sync is quite horrendous, her actual singing voice on the soundtrack is quite respectable. Man, that Andy Sidaris guy sure knew how to make movies because with that beginning you are already happy.

If you watch the movie you have to wait till the credits, because there is a short scene that was cut from her initial scene at the beginning.

Another great scene is her performance in her black push - up corsage.

This part of the movie is the best part or the worst part depending on the fact in which format you have it. I found GUNS on the internet and one of the negative things I found out about the version on my DVD is that a part of Cynthia Brimhall´s spectacular breasts are cut off in the close ups.

The other bad news is that while it says it´s the uncut version for 18 year olds there are two scenes that were cut. One where the agent whose cover identity is a magician kills two gangsters who killed his brother and the other one where the chopper with the bad guys is shot down and you see the wreckage and the dead bodies. While that in itself is annoying now that I have seen the uncut version the scene in the movie where the bad guy Degas - played by Erik Estrada - says that they must kill the magician in retaliation for killing two of his men finally makes sense.

Monique Sluyter as Fire ( Beatriz da Costa )

Another hot sexbomb from the 80s, this time it´s dutch Power Girl Monique Sluyter from TUTTI FRUTTI the after midnight gameshow.

No one who saw her Marylin Monroe impersonation can ever forget her.

I have already done it in my post about ITALIAN SOCCER MOM SIMONA VENTURA but for the benefit of new readers who might have missed this I should probably explain what TUTTI FRUTTI was. There was a show called COLPO GROSSO from Italy with some dancers dressed as certain fruits who would dance to a special song and when the last refrain said " chin chin " they popped their tops and the candidates had to bet ( before they opened their tops ) if they had stickers of fruits on their breasts or not.

If they had fruits - or rather stickers with fruits - on them the candidates would win points and if they had enough of them they could get the women who presented the european nations to strip. Who could get the most women the most naked was the winner and the points they would score were called country points or Länderpunkte, a word that has become a household expression in Germany. It´s not unusual to hear german tv viewers say : Well, we´re not going to see any Länderpunkte in this movie. Anyway, the show was done to promote the Ecu, the new currency for a United Europe ( no, that really didn´t work out that well ) but the important part was getting to see girls strip. Although the men always couldn´t remember which girl represented which country and so often the hottest looking girls never got their turn. This one was my favorite.

The show was adapted by various countries and it was called AY QUE CALOR in Spain and TUTTI FRUTTI in Germany. In Germany it was the show nobody watched ( or admitted watching ) but everybody saw.

When it was first shown in the 80s I was doing my military service in Munich and in my room there was cable tv - unlike at home. So every Sunday afternoon I took the ICE to Munich, bought some american comics at the station, went to the barracks, showered, shaved and watched TUTTI FRUTTI before going to sleep. And I always made sure to catch the beginning, I didn´t want to miss the big breasted hottie from the intro.

Boy, she was something else. I had some happy dreams back then.

In Germany the show was hosted by Hugo Egon Balder, Tiziana and Monique Sluyter, who may be responsible for my fixation on Power Girl.

I mean it must have been around the same time when I read Bart Sear´s version of Power Girl in the pages of JUSTICE LEAGUE EUROPE and when I saw Monique´s raunchy striptease as Marilyn Monroe on TUTTI FRUTTI.

In the old comics artist Wally Wood kept making Power Girl´s breasts bigger and bigger to see how far he could take it. Or at least that´s the urban legend. Fact is that the artists after him drew her with normal proportions .... or what is considered normal for superheroines. Till Bart Sears took over the character and buffed her up and returned her to her signature breast size - at least for up until the whole NEW 52 fiasko.

But back to Monique Sluyter. I think she´s dutch and she was one of the girls on TUTTI FRUTTI. I have to say I liked her more than Tiziana who always played the goofy part. Not that Monique couldn´t be goofy and would have problems with the german pronunciation ( although her accent could drive men crazy ). But she always did it with charme and some tongue in cheek humor. It also helped that she is totally hot.

She definitely got fire and I bet she wouldn´t look halfbad with green hair.

And if you want to know who this Simona Ventura woman is and how she connects with TUTTI FRUTTI click the link above to head on over to her.

Attention : the big Andy Sidaris Tutti Frutti crossover finale

Now the reason why I put the Andy Sidaris stuff on the same post as the stuff about Tutti Frutti is that some of the Tutti Frutti girls starred in a few Andy Sidaris movies. Although in the case of Sandra Wild it´s not surprising since she starred in a few Playboy videos before playing Sandy.

I´m not sure if she really was a playmate of the month since she is credited as Miss August 1991 in some sources while other say that she worked as a Playboy model between 1988 and 1994 and was featured in several magazines and on covers, as well as in several Playboy video productions but never was in the centerfold.

Here is a page that has most of her acting credits as well as an uncredited appearance on STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION.

Like Sandra Wild Carolyn Liu was a model, a PLAYBBOY cover girl, she starred in a few PLAYBOY videos and played Silk in DO OR DIE, HARD HUNTED, FIT TO KILL ( the one in the golden bikini below ) and RETURN TO SAVAGE BEACH and Alice in the movie DAY OF THE WARRIOR.

And that brings the second part of my post on Andy Sidaris to an end. Maybe there will be another post about this topic but probably not in the foreseeable future. I just want to add that I think the reason why ENEMY GOLD and THE DALLAS CONNECTION weren´t included in the Andy Sidaris Collectors Box is that while both were produced by Andy Sidaris his son Christian Drew Sidaris was the actual director on these movies. I wonder why he never followed in his father´s footsteps since both movies he directed have the typical feel of Andy Sidaris movies. I mean if I hadn´t read it on the internet I´d never known. He obviously has a knack for it.

Like I said in my last post about Andy Sidaris, I´m not going to post his movies since you can find those very easily on YouTube. Somebody keeps uploading them, even his first, SEVEN which is still not available on DVD.

What I´m posting instead are a few interviews by Joe Briggs and the first is with my choice for Big Barda, Roberta Vasquez. In my original post I provided a download link so it´s fitting to include it in this new version.

Here´s another interview by Joe Bob Briggs, this time with my choice for Maxima, Cynthia Brimhall and Andy Sidaris. I haven´t seen this one yet.

Another new video for me is the third interview by Joe Bob Briggs after the release of GUNS. This guy must really like the Andy Sidaris movies.

I also wanted to include a video of Cynthia Brimhall singing. There is a music video of her on YouTube but instead I picked this one which sadly has not much of her singing " Fever " but it is from a live performance.

And last but not least here´s Cynthia Brimhall´s stunning performance of the title song at the opening sequence of the Andy Sidaris movie GUNS.
