Flash Friday - Race Against Time : finale !

So, as anticipated the new course I have to take from the jobcenter has managed to delay my posting schedule even further than usual making this week´s FLASH FRIDAY post one day late ( I´m writing this on Saturday ). Nevertheless it´s time to wrap up Race Against Time with FLASH 118.

We already did a short recap of the story so far in last week´s FLASH FRIDAY post so I won´t go into the whole schtick again. Also I promised to include the links for the previous installments and I don´t want to spoil anything for those readers who DO use them to go back and read them.

If you HAVE read the posts before you also might go back and give them another read over because - for various reasons - I posted them out of order and interrupted by many special FLASH FRIDAY editions. So, in chronological order, here are part 1 , part 2 , part 3 , part 4 and part 5 of Race Against Time. The guest penciler in this issue is Sergio Cariello.

Now did I or did I not tell you that John Fox is the worst Flash ever ? In my opinion he gets off way too easy but if I remember correctly there were a few later interactions with the Justice League of our time where he was wondering why everybody was treating him almost like a super villain.

Or maybe I´m just imagining things. So this was my 775th post - give or take a few reposts - so it´s fitting that we wrapped up this storyline. In next week´s FLASH FRIDAY post ( or whenever I get to do the next FLASH FRIDAY post ) it´s back to the Paul Ryan FLASH issues since he started on FLASH 119 - which I already posted . We also covered issues 120 to 125, issues 130 to 132 and issue 134 so we will continue with issue 126 filling the remaining gaps and going forward from issue 135. But that´s next week. Before we can finish for Today we have to check the obligatory birthdays which start with Amber Rose who turns 33. The model, actress and fashion designer with the - unenhanced - incredible 42H bust who looks like she just stepped out of the pages of Richard Corben´s Den must have developed at a young age as she first worked as a stripper with 15.

Even though her body must have been ripe enough for the job she soon decided that it was not the right time but she returned to stripping with a vengeance when she turned 18. She stayed in the biz until she was 25 and calls her stripper years the best time of her life. Using her superior stripper skills - honed through over half a decade - in various music videos and with her stunning 42H - 27 - 41 measurements it was only a matter of time before the living blow up sex doll was discovered by a horny stud in this case by Kanye West. You can say what you want about him but he knows his women because he began a romantic relationship with Amber.

Which is code for he put her body to the endurance test and if he´s smart he drilled her hard every chance he got because this sexual dynamo goes through men like other girls go through underwear. Chris Brown, Lebron James, Reggie Bush, Darell Revis, Amar´e Stoudemire, Eddie Murphy and Whiz Kalifa all tried their best to break the inexhaustible bi - sexual love machine in, and Nick Cannon even had to get his sweaty sex orgies with Amber on tape for posterity. And you know that he is well endowed and can perform - there is a reason why 40DDD sex goddess Mariah Carey was always smiling those sex years .... I mean six years they were together.

From totally unenhanced stripper goddess Amber Rose we come to Matt Dallas who celebrates his 34th birthday and is best known for playing mega enhanced Kyle XY in the tv series of the same name. Like with most shows I watched the seasons after the first one in Spain because they take so damn long to catch up in Germany. I´m not even sure if they showed the finale. There was a finale to Kyle XY, right ? Damn, it´s been too long.

Speaking of Amber Rose, Kim Kardashian - Kanye West´s current sex toy - who has a similar body type ( 38DD - 26 - 42 ) also celebrates her birthday Today as she turns 36. And it seems that Kanye picked another nympho as Kim has been described as a total sex freak and an animal between the sheets by an ex - lover. You know that she and Kanye did it at least often enough to get her pregnant twice but I´m not sure if they really have sex 15 times a day while going for child number 3. What I do know is that her poor son will have the same problems growing up that Sofia Vergara´s son has, namely that his classmates constantly try to bed his MILF mother.

Speaking of MILFs, since I don´t follow reality tv shows I usually wouldn´t have a video with Kim Kardashian but she appears in Fergie´s MILF$ video. Some people say it´s empowering women while other say it´s doing the opposite. Me I was too busy appreciating Fergie´s superior stripper skills.

And speaking about stripper skills, our next celebrity candidate Christiane Hagemann is a callback to the aforementioned post about Flash issue 119 because that was the first time I mentioned the german tv series Die Rote Meile on the blog and Christiane, who celebrates her 42th birthday played Gitti so she definitely had to learn taking off her clothes in a sexy way.

The series was named after the red light district of St. Pauli in Hamburg and was a sequel to The King of St. Pauli. It follows the lives of strippers, prostitutes and their pimps but they are all portrayed like regular people not like in american tv series where people from this walk of life are always portrayed as bad people. I remember an episode of a series about beach cops on bikes ( that sounds as action packed as it was ) with people from the porn industry and they also made them killers because all people in adult entertainment are horrible people. Anyway, I watched every episode of Die Rote Meile because they had a very easy concept : one strip in every episode which was not interrupted by commercials. I don´t know if they could do that Today as they put commercials into everything.

Even if they did not go totally topless - sometimes they had pasties on - I was glued to the tv watching such hot sexbombs like Yasmina Filali above.

Daimn, that girl really has the prototype of the heart shaped ass. Now longtime readers know that one of my pet peeves is giving credit to the unsung actresses who upgrade movies and tv shows by getting naked on camera and there were sure some among them on Die Rote Meile as I found out when I tried to find the names of my favorite strippers. Yes, only the " real " actors are mentioned in the cast meaning those with a speaking part which tells you which place some women still occupy in Today´s society. So if anybody out there knows the name of the living blow up sex doll with the huge melons below put it in the comments.

Anyway, one of the best strippers of the regular cast is Sylvia Leifheit who has a secret identity in the series as she plays the typical devoted wife by day, secret stripper by night. Sylvia made me realize two things : firstly, while I usually don´t go for skinny chicks she is just oozing so much sex appeal that I would do her in a minute. And second, hair color can really make a difference because her character in the series is actually a blonde and despite having the same figure as a blonde she´s kind of a - meh - looking girl while as Luna with the black wig she´s a real firecracker !

A few years back I got the complete first season of Die Rote Meile on DVD at amazon at a pretty decent price and I´m glad I seized the opportunity because it really goes for ridiculous prices now. I can really recommend this show and Sylvia Leifheit alone is worth the price of admission.

Speaking of my favorite tv shows, israeli - canadian actor Sasha Roiz turns 43 who has been on Caprica and Warehouse 13 but who is best known for playing Captain Sean Renard on Grimm. That´s another series that has fizzled out in Germany. I was watching it religiously and then they just stopped showing it halfway through the third season or so and I have no idea if they will ever continue with it. I will probably have to get the spanish DVDs because the german version is censored. Anyway, I was trying to find an appearance of Sasha Roiz on one of the usual talk shows but it seems that only the main actors get invited there. But that´s just as well because otherwise I would never have found Noches Con Platanito.

It´s back to comics as Rags Morales celebrates the big 50. He started out on such books as Black Condor and Hourman but his biggest hit was the Identity Crisis mini series which - let´s be honest - would have been just a cheap kill and rape fanfic without Rags stellar art. He also draws one heck of a Power Girl in the pages of JLA and Hawkman and he brought us the classic crossover issue 23 of the latter in which we see what the various members of the Justice Society of America do in their off time. Kara goes to town with Hawkgirl and Stargirl and after getting a handreading she is sexually harrassed by the Village People. Yes, Power Girl is so sexy even gay men are trying to hit on her. Although in this instance she hit on them.

It´s been quite some time since my last Power Girl - centric post so I DO have two links. I may have already posted the first link, which comes from FIRESTORM FAN and examines a possible romance between Firestorm and Power Girl that never came to fruition but I´m sure the post from JUSTICE LEAGUE : REVISITED about the brilliant JLA / JSA : VIRTUE AND VICE graphic novel is new. Carlos Pacheco was the artist on that and he too drew a very captivating Power Girl. There is another sexy moment and one wonders why this kind of stuff never happened in Power Girl´s own book.

Lex Luthor was still the President of the United States of America in that one and I guess when you think about the upcoming elections it´s not that far from reality. I remember that at the time Lex started campaigning for the presidency in the comics DC made a Vote Lex 2000 button which I had on my old business suit. Yep, I had to dust it off just last week to make the new pictures for the job applications and it doesn´t fit anymore. It´s frightening how 16 years can take their toll on a body.

Coming back to President Lex, while he was pretty ruthless in the comics they never showed the ultimate abuse of power - or better - abuse of Power Girl. Come on, if you were the US president and had the entire superhero community - male and female - under your thumb, tell me you wouldn´t coerce a hot chick like Power Girl into a few midnight olympics sessions in the oval office. I mean, the only thing we did get to see in the comics was Lex liplocking with Amanda Waller ( and we´re talking the 900 pound gorilla version here not the NEW52 Halle Berry lookalike ) but you just know that Lex went through all the hot Justice League babes like Big Barda, Starfire, Zatanna, Black Canary, Vixen, Huntress or Wonder Woman.

Writing about all these issues makes me kind of sad because JSA used to be such a good book ( I think there is at least one omnibus from DC that collects big part of the series ) and Power Girl even became the leader for a time but with REBIRTH you never know what her status is and if she´s even alive. What we DO know is that even if DC will give Power Girl her own book again they won´t get an artist who´s good at drawing women.

That seems to be one of the unwritten rules of comics as well as that they need to give her a new costume every time they retcon something about her. Power Girl had the most simple costume that was really easy to draw and they kept changing it making it more complicated each time. Well, here´s my proposal for the new Power Girl costume that incorporates the basic colors blue and white and is real easy to draw. What do you say DC ?

Another comic related birthday is Lee Weeks who turns 56. While never one of the big stars he had solid runs on Hulk and Daredevil and he did such great stories like Captain America Lives ! which was either a What If ? story or a prequel to Avengers 4. He also illustrated Predator vs Magnus, Robot Fighter and Tarzan vs Predator : At Earth´s Core. Now that Disney publishes so many Epic Collections I hope they do one with his Daredevil issues that followed the run of Ann Nocenti and John Romita Jr because it´s a really good story and I can´t find it anywhere in my comic collection.

Now while it is still open if Power Girl will get a new outfit in the new DC universe after Rebirth, Carrie Fisher - who celebrates her 60th anniversary - did get one in Return of the Jedi and I´m not sure if George Lucas knew that he would be changing the history of popular culture as we knew it.

This was clearly a watershed moment and the best test to find out if there really is a clearly defined before and after is to try and imagine the world without it. And I know that if you did one of those Teens React videos they would not be able to grasp the concept of science fiction - and especially Star Wars without the famous metal bikini. Although to tell you the truth, now that I think about it most of them probably only saw Star Wars : The Force Awakens and know of this more from the footprints it left in the various imitations in sci fi movies, in comics or video games.

And let´s not forget the cosplay scene. I mean, no comic, anime or sci fi convention is complete without all the guys and gals dressing up as rebels, droids, stormtroopers or wookies but it wouldn´t be the same without all the dedicated scantily clad girls and women donning the Slave Leia outfit.

Now since I mentioned cosplay you probably expect me to add a Yaya Han video ( I know a lot of people are astonished that I didn´t post a picture of Yaya Han as Slave Leia ) but after I have finished this post in a few days there will be a special Slave Leia post with all kinds of neat art, cosplayers and stuff. In the meantime here is a video that I mainly picked for the spot on Power Girl cosplayer. Somehow I always come back to the subject of Power Girl in these FLASH FRIDAY posts. Must be my sub consciousness.

Speaking about science fiction icons, fitting right in with Today´s post and time travel is Paul Levitz who turns 60 and who has had various positions at DC as writer, editor and president but is best known for his stints on the best super hero comic past or future The Legion of Super - Heroes which includes The Great Darkness Saga with Keith Giffen. The Deluxe hardcover is currently out of print but you can still get the trade as well as the hardcover of the following compilation The Curse. If you want to keep reading so far there are two trades of the next volume An Eye For An Eye and The More Things Change out but I wish they would also reprint the earlier stuff which I remember reading in the german Superboy issues.

Speaking of science fiction comics, Geoff Darrow celebrates his 61st birthday and while he is mostly doing Shaolin Cowboy and some art pieces for the new volume of Dark Horse Presents he has done his fair share of sci fi books like Hard Boiled and Big Guy And Rusty The Boy Robot with Frank Miller. The latter one should not miss in any good comic collection and it has even been adapted as a pretty awesome cartoon series.

Our last birthday is science fiction author Edmond Hamilton who wrote a lot of Superman and Batman stories but the bulk of his comic work was on the aforementioned Legion of Super - Heroes where he co - created the Time Trapper and Timber Wolf. Yes, the Legion had a Suicide Squad first.

Not a lot of people outside of comics know that Edmond Hamilton wrote funnybooks since his most famous creation is pulp hero Captain Future who was the subject of a separate post on Tales From The Kryptonian. So it´s time again for another video from Das Phantastische Projekt about Captain Future and this one deals with the german comics from BASTEI.

If you are reading this we have finally arrived at the end and while it may not look that long it took me over a week to finally wrap this post up. Just in case you were wondering why there have been no new posts since this one. As always we end the post with Flash and since we haven´t had the obligatory cartoon video yet here is Wally West - who was the Flash in the animated versions of the Justice League instead of Barry Allen - using the Speed Force to defeat Lex Luthor. Yup, he´s always up to nothing good.

Catching up : Thorsday with Vince Coletta

As predicted the new course of the job - agency has had a terrible impact on the blog so I couldn´t post last Saturday which was Vince Coletta´s birthday. And although Vince Coletta never was one of my favorite inkers but he did ink a lot of comics in my youth and since he did a lot of Thor stuff I wanted to tip off my hat with a little post honoring the work.

Of course Vince Coletta did more than just THOR and TALES OF ASGARD and I am preparing a post about his other work but that takes a bit more time so you will have to wait a bit for that one. As well as one about Joe Sinnott. You don´t think I have forgotten one of my favorite inkers, do you ? That one is also in the pipeline and I think next week we will have a Joe Sinnott THORSDAY post before we continue with part 2 of THOR 171.

Now I guess I should say something about Vince Coletta´s THOR issues. One of the brilliant things Stan Lee did - yes, I know that a lot of people are only focusing on the negative part of those days but I don´t want to add to that - is that because he had Jack Kirby do a lot of different books he always tried to match him up with different inkers so that each book had its distinctive look. So Jack Kirby´s AVENGERS looked different from Jack Kirby´s FANTASTIC FOUR and so on. For most of the THOR issues I read Vince Coletta did the inking and his filigrane style seemed to match the green forests and hills, the grandiose panoramas and thriving nature of Asgard better than the technological machinery of the Fantastic Four.

Longtime readers know that I like to add a little extra to each post so I have chosen a few black and white originals as well as some splash pages from the issues of Condor´s DIE SPINNE which had Thor as the backup.

Today´s short birthday list starts with the australian singing sexbomb with the 35C stereo speakers, Dannii " Double Airbags " Minogue who turns 45.

The stacked Minogue sister with the built in pair of bongos was actually in the music business first and had a big career before Kylie ever sang her first note, which most people forgot for a long time. Which of course changed when she became a judge on The X - Factor where she got the highest points from the audience on the show and Simon Cowell in the bedroom who used her as his blow up sex doll. Dannii has officially denied being Simon´s sex toy but that doesn´t contradict that he banged her brains out. I mean, if I was sitting next to a wet dream with such huge melons all day I would definitely put her pornstar body to the test, this is a total no brainer. Simon even campaigned to get her back on the show and made no secret that it was mainly because of her incredible breasts.

He wanted the channel to splash out millions to secure a deal with Dannii Minogue and told ITV boss Peter Fincham : " Bring her back to X - Factor and everyone will tune in to look at her tits. "  In his biography Simon Cowell admitted that he was in love with Danni Minogue for years. " I had a crush on her. It was Dannii´s hair, the sexy clothes and the tits. I was like a schoolboy. She was foxy. She was a real man´s girl. Very feminine. "

Usually I only post one video per birthday candidate but I just had to include this one as I´m not sure if I have already posted it. Just in case I did and it was deleted here is Dannii Minogue driving all the men on a french tv show crazy. Her dress is so skimpy that it doesn´t even really qualify as sideboob since almost nothing of her huge talent is covered.

Ron Garney celebrates his 54th birthday and while he has worked on HULK, SPIDER - MAN, SILVER SURFER and even the JUSTICE LEAGUE he´s best known for his legendary runs on CAPTAIN AMERICA with writer Mark Waid.

Sadly I already have two posts in the pipeline so I can´t add a third but I already wrote about Mark Waid and Ron Garney on CAPTAIN AMERICA in this post , which is from my big Captain America post which I broke up into various parts so it´s easier on the upload time. But there are links to the original complete version and there is even a german version available.

I also want to remember Nick Cardy, who is best known for his work on the original TEEN TITANS, AQUAMAN and FLASH but also worked on ACTION COMICS, THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD and dozen other DC anthology titles.

Also in our Dearly Departed section is Otfried Preußler whom you might remember from my BIG KRABAT RE - POST . While his version of the story what a bit streamlined he has been a big part of children growing up for generations with all his wonderful books about the Seppl, Kasper and famous bandit Hotzenplotz, the little water sprite or the little ghost.

Another famous children´s book by Otfried Preußler is The Little Witch so it´s no wonder that it has been adapted numerous times, in cartoon form and as a live action movie. There is a video with the complete movie but the quality is very low and the picture is cropped so I opted for this one.

Last but not least I have to mention Bela Lugosi who created what is still the iconic version of Hollywood´s most famous vampire, Dracula for many.

Since I didn´t want to go with the obvious Dracula movie or documentary I picked one that has a good picture quality and may not be well known.

To close out the post here is a collaboration of Kirby and Vince Coletta on one of the greatest sagas within their stint on THOR : Mangog cometh !

I loved sitting next to Danii Minogue. She´s got that Sophia Loren, movie - star sex appeal.
